Medieval Unit-- Illuminating The Journey and Reaping What You Sow
I would first like to apologize for not getting pictures up from Family Night!!! We had a wonderful time and a great turn out!! The pictures were lost off the camera in which was used to take them.
On Monday the 26th we began our new unit on Medieval Times. The first activity was done to introduce the students to the type of writing and special characters used in writing text during this time period. The students created their own decorative letters to put into their binders for this unit. I have posted a few examples that were made!In our second activity the students evaluated how farming occurred during Medieval times. They brainstormed factors that farmers had to consider and how they dealt with any limitations. We then played a game that implemented a 3 field crop rotation. Next Monday we will do the analysis of this activity and then begin a lesson on trade during Medieval Times.
Our 2nd semester Snack Schedule is finished and I will post it here on the blog very soon!
Can't wait to see everyone next week!!
